most of the mix tapes from the past no longer work because most sites have been shut down.

I have been gone for months, so this is pretty much a dead community. But what the hey, here's a fresh playlist for those who are still around.

OKAY: I know this isn't a full mixtape. It's a four-minute mash up of songs. Still, given the circumstances, I hope the mods will allow it to stay, and the members enjoy it:

Need some theme music while waiting to vote for Obama? Throw this on your ipod, or play it non-stop on repeat at your office. DO IT :)

Twisted Sister - We're Not Gonna Take It
Martina McBride - Independence Day
Garth Brooks - Standing Outside the Fire
Against Me! - Stop
Beastie Boys - YOU GOTTA FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHT (to party)
Frank Sinatra - Love & Marriage
Stroke 9 - Kick Some Ass
Rent - La Vie Boheme
Les Miserables - Do You Hear The People Sing?

This isn't the weekly assignment but I'm skipping it...and I can do that cause I'm sleeping with the owner. :P

Anyways...I'm going to be having a baby someday really soon (so they say). Here is a sample off the playlist I made for my labor music....

I had a lot of fun with the very first weekly assignment, I hope all of you did as well. It was quite interesting to see the variation of music that members' parents listened to. For your information mixt_tape members' parents listened to The Beatles and Fleetwood mac the most.

So without further ado....

The Rules:

1. Minimum 5 songs on the mix with a maximum 10 songs.
2. Have Fun
3. Mixes should be posted before next Monday's Assignment.
4. Have Fun
5. Please post in the title of your mix the following {"UserName"s submission to weekly assignment (1)}
6. Have fun
7. Read over the user page for advice on how to make a successful mix.
8. Post entry as a new post NOT AS A COMMENT TO THIS.
9. And last... have fun.

This Weeks Assignment....

Music played at your prom (or at the majority of your high school dances).

My husband and I will be married one year on the 23rd. Here's a cheesy mix I made just now of love songs.
